The cockerel mosaic in St. Peter's Church

The cockerel is the image that we use at Saint Peter’s.  It reminds us that Saint Peter denied Jesus three times, and yet was still called to serve Jesus.  None of us is perfect, but we are all called to serve the Lord.

We would like to invite you to join in our activities, and will be most happy to meet you when you come to share worship with us. We are situated in Eastbourne Grove, near to Southend Hospital. For those who use Sat-Nav, the post code is SS0 0QF.

We are committed to ensuring that Saint Peter’s Church is a safe place for all. For further information, please go to our Safeguarding Page.

Services

During the week we hold several services.  Some are more formal, some are less formal.  You can make your choice, and worship in a way that suits you and your family.

Sunday Services

On the first Sunday of each month there are two services of Holy Communion.  The more formal service is at 9:00 am, the second is at 10:30 am.

On the last Sunday of each month, there is only one service held at 10:30 am.  It is called Café Church.

On the other Sundays, the 9.00 am service is always Holy Communion.  The 10.30 am service is All Age Worship.

Weekday Services

Morning Prayer is said on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 8.00 am.  This service is held in the Gowing Chapel.

On Wednesday morning at 10.00 am there is a service of Holy Communion.  This is also celebrated in the Gowing Chapel, and is followed by a coffee morning at about 10.35 am.
